Known lovingly as Shuga Mama, she introduced a young Jessica to the practice of making oils, soaps and body treatments at home.

Jessica was born with severe eczema, making ingredients and personal care more than an abstract conversation. Understanding what went onto the body became part of everyday life.

Those lessons grew into a lifelong appreciation for formulation, ingredients, intentional care and the wisdom passed between generations.
